Coquelles is a village and commune of the Pas-de-Calais département, located near Calais in northern France.
It is known informally as "la ville du tunnel sous la manche" (the town of the Channel Tunnel). The town comprises a shopping centre (Cité Europe), a centre hotellier with an Ibis, an Etap and a Suitehotel, a farm in vieille Coquelles (old Coquelles), part of the L'Européene autoroute (A16) and the Channel Tunnel terminal. A short distance away, near the modern settlement, but also within sight of the older centre of Vieux Coquelles, with the ruins of its church tower, is a Holiday Inn. Opposite this is the Old Mill, from which the hotel restaurant "Le Vieux Moulin" takes its name.
